Core Features

Why choose API?

Designed for clarity, speed and privacy. A familiar, friendly interface with serious guardrails behind the scenes.

Type what you mean (e.g., “invoices from last month”). We translate to precise Gmail queries.

🧩

Character consistency

Keep sender/recipient views consistent across audits and exports.

🖼️

Scene preservation

No surprise changes: we only touch the data you approve and never modify originals.

One-shot actions

Common tasks finish in a single step with smart defaults.

🗂️

Multi-label context

See messages across multiple labels without losing thread context.

📣

UGC-friendly exports

Export summaries/snippets for reviews or reports — no message bodies needed.

Why we use the Gmail API

Direct, permissioned access with Google OAuth2 — no password sharing, clear scopes, and user-controlled revocation.

  • Security: OAuth2 with tokens instead of storing passwords.
  • Granularity: Request only gmail.readonly and gmail.labels for the core experience.
  • User control: You can remove API from myaccount.google.com/permissions at any time.
  • Reliability: Official API = stable schema and better rate limiting.

Scopes we request (this app version)

ScopeWhy we need itStatus
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly Read message metadata (From, To, Subject, Date), labels, and message IDs to render your inbox snapshot. Required
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.labels List your label names/IDs and counts to group messages. Required
openid email profile Sign you in and show which Google account is connected. Optional

If you enable advanced features (e.g., sending or modifying labels), we’ll clearly ask for additional scopes first.

Exactly what Google user data we access

We keep it tight and transparent.

  • Gmail messages (metadata): From, To, Subject, Date/internalDate, Message-ID, threadId, labelIds, snippet/size estimates. We do not fetch or store full message bodies unless you open a message.
  • Gmail labels: Label names, IDs, and hierarchy. No message content is included.
  • Account basics: Your Google account email and profile name (for account picker and support).
  • Optional pre-check fingerprints: If enabled, we compute a short-lived, one-way fingerprint to detect duplicates. No message body is stored.
  • How we use: Render inbox snapshots; optional duplicate-send protection; troubleshooting with consent.
  • How we store: Tokens & cache on your device. Optional fingerprints server-side are auto-purged (default 24h).
  • How we share: We don’t share Gmail content. Providers (if any) are bound to our instructions. Legal disclosures only when required.
  • Delete & revoke: In-app Settings → Disconnect Google, or from myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  • User Reviews
